New job

For those that haven’t already heard, I was hired by the Mozilla Foundation last week as a system administrator. I started the night before the Firefox 1.0 release, just in time to fight with the servers as the load hit. This also kept me busy enough that I didn’t have time to blog about it until now :) We managed to borrow a few servers on short notice to pick up the extra load (much thanks to Oregon State University and RedHat) and did a lot of tweaking to increase performance on several servers. All in all it’s been pretty exciting so far.

I think the Mozilla Foundation will be better off with you as a server admin. It’s a win-win for everybody. Good luck, Dave!

justdavemiller @EnglishMossop @nsIAnswers makes sense. Main number rings off the hook, it gets answered ocassionally.
justdavemiller @Support Can we do 2FA with multiple accounts yet without needing a separate phone number for each one?
justdavemiller @PFCBSA your Twitter thing is short-coding your links - it'd be nice if you told me something with the link to make me want to click it.
justdavemiller @EnglishMossop @nsIAnswers HR should have a direct number they can give you that bypasses the phone tree.
