Wow, that was fast. They said they’d have the results of the RHCE exam posted sometime in the next 3 business days (which would mean sometime next week), but I had an email waiting for me when I got home tonight with the results. I passed. So I’m now officially a Red Hat Certified Engineer.
Congratulations 🙂
Congrats!
Now I know who to go to for all my RedHat-related tinderbox-failure needs! 😉
I’m not at all surprised. Congrats anyway!
Congrats Dave! 🙂
Congrats dave! Welcome to the club! And apologies for taking so long to realize that David Miller == justdave. 🙂
Actually, not sure I get to welcome people to the club anymore – my RHCE was on v7.1, and I think they go stale after > 2 major releases.
Glad to hear your experience was a good one, though. I had the same impression of the whole process – a fun class where you pick up a couple nice tidbits, but mostly just get to solve some halfway interesting problems. Now I know to whom to turn when I get my linux box up to snuff again, and don’t know where to insert the punchcards.
Congratulations! 🙂 That’s a certification that I really respect when I see that people have it. 🙂
